DAILY READING PLAN
Journeying through the first 133 chapters of the New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts and Romans, so that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can join us together in unity.
When the foundations of our new building were still being laid, we as an Eldership Team felt God urge us to build the foundations of the family of 3Ci on Psalm 133 vs 1 which says ‘How good and how pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity.’
In response to this scripture, and as a prophetic statement to our city, we felt that the first person to preach in our new facility would be an African man. The week after that – one of our ladies, after that – someone in our team of leaders; all the while trusting that as we apply the Gospel to one another and dwell together in unity, there the Lord will command his blessing.
This past Saturday, the man who will be the first to preach in our new facility sent a message to Rory to say he had finally decided on a text for his sermon – Psalm 133! God has supernaturally bookended our building project with this portion of scripture – he has our undivided attention!
So over the next 133 days, you are invited to join us as we open our hearts and lives to the first 133 chapters of the New Testament (Matthew – 28, Mark – 16, Luke – 24, John – 21, Acts – 28, Romans – 16) and see firsthand how this Gospel, working itself in and through the people of God, took hold of young and old, rich and poor, black and white, educated and uneducated, and joined them together in unity in order to reach town and cities, neighbours and neighbourhoods with the life-changing Gospel of Jesus.
